RC1, first impressions and important notice
Hi
After one day on display… we already have a lot of feedback from you guys about the 2.3.0.1RC1 of the fonera 2.0g.
There is one big bug: Transmission will NOT install!!!!
OH MY!!!!! This is a huge problem (no kidding). And we apologize. We will fix it as soon as possible and let you know when it’s ready.
We also received a few more bugs, like the disks to unmount (or seem to unmount) unnecessarily… that we already know the cause of. So we will fix that soon too. It’s a problem with the kernel version, tricky stuff for our master developer, blogic ;)
Hey, but we also got veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery (a long ‘very’) possitive feedback and that makes us happy. Let’s see if we keep up!
thanks

Hi all,
for Transmission install issue,
all you need is to rename on your server (http://download.fonosfera.org/plugins/) the file torrent.2.3.0.0.fonera20n into torrent.2.3.0.1.fonera20
Thank for all guys

Sorry for the spanish.
¿Cuando van a estar los plugins?
Por cierto, sugiero que se pueda configurar MyPlace como SSID oculto (aunque uno se pueda conectar)

I support Josemi, it can’t be that hard to make the private signal hidden!
But yeah, except for the Torrent bug, amazing improvement!! Keep it up guys!!

Ah, yeah, I also noticed the unmount problem. I’m glad the dev team is aware and will fix it. Once that it solved I think it’ll be an almost perfect firm for out 2.0g’s :-D

Tried installing the RC1 on my Fonera 2.0 (g), crashed it. Got the FON_ATTENTION_PLEASE_CONNECT SSID. And yes, I used the 2202 firmwares. Now trying to reinstall the original firmware it came with. The Failsafe reinstall says that I have to be patient now.

Is there a known issue with the USB Port?
My Fonera 2.0g doesn’t recognise Pen Drives or hard drives anymore, after a restart it works for a couple of minutes and then it’s the same again.

I prefer the fonera 2.0g form factor over the 2.0n version, so this is a welcome release, however I am having a lot of problems with the new 2.3.0.1RC1 firmware including:
1) Setting the LAN/Bridge IP to anything other than the default 192.168.10.1 borks the LAN & dhcp server
2) SMB connections fail with invalid password error. FTP w/same creds works
3) Logitech 9000 pro does not work with Webcam plugin
4) downgrading firmware not allowed
5) Fonera will not register with fon
6) MasMovil 3G USB modem unsupported
