This new router firmware really looks amazing - very exciting.

Will there eventually be a version of this firmware for WRT routers like the Linksys WRT54GS? I have one and am debating buying a Fonera 2.0 (hardware)... but I need to have 4 Ethernet ports not 1 + modem, and I don't want a pile of parts lying around my place to get it done.

It would also be great if a Fonera 2.0 hardware model had multiple USB ports - 4 fully powered ports and 4 ethernet ports would be a very convenient device, on top of the way the private/public network already makes life easier.

I never said that I wrote that plugin. I only say that I can do that but nobody was then interested in that :) Ok. No problem. That my ideas:

* rsync backup from other Linux machine. Off course we can use ssh to do that, but it will be better to have graphic interface.

* Monitoring system. It will ping defined host every some delay. When host don't work it send to use e-mail.

Beta testers?? You are joking I think. Someone remember the Fon Beta Tester group? I think no. You wrote beta testers but they don't get Fonera 2. So how I can test that firmware and hardware? Off course you can wrote that is version for people who have some knowledge about linux, ssh and other. Yes I have that knowledge. That was my propose to add rapidshare downloader to fonera. I also said that I wrote that plugin but nobody was interested. Now what I see?? A rapidshare module in Fonera. I have also few ideas about plugins but I think I don't say anything about that.

do you really believe, that this crappy software will help spread fon ? FON really is at its endnow . Believing that this is just the beginningwould be a late 1st april joke. hyping one new software version after the other every 2 weeks is really a ridiculous behaviour. FON sucks. FOn doesnt grow any longer. FOn will have the same fate as whisher.com. Disappearing.

So guys look for another advantage. This varsavsky is really a joke, a player and a playboy. You cant him take 4 serious. really. believe me.!
