Alessio, it seems in the meantime, two new versions were uploaded to addons.mozilla.org. I expect the latest will work for you, see https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/foneradownloader/

The Fonera 2.0n is unuasable for most of the advertised features. SMB sharing is slow and crashes if too many or too large files are transferred. This means using the Fonera to download stuff from the internet is tiresome. Transmission will crash the Fonera if more than 3 (not an exact number) torrents are running. Rapishare, Megaupload only works for Premium accounts and is sometimes also broken.
So this Firefox Plugin is absolutely worthless for me.

As a router it mostly works. Though I still get the odd "Your Internet is misconfigured" page every other day. A minute later everything works again. Such is life when you are a FON customer.

What about the new firmware, all the bugfixes we are waiting for? Months ans more months passing and nothing yet.

And I am not even thinking about new & cool features like dropbox integration or something similar. Only a nice, working firmware would be great... the only things that are working is network printing and transmission. SMB is deadslow, FTP not really working, sometimes the fonera just freezes... incredible. And I own 2 of these... :/
