Fonera Downloader 0.1.2
Hi there!
New release with small improvements:
- Firefox 3.6 support, in case you’re running the bleeding edge. This has been tested with beta 3.
- Bug fixes mainly discovered during 3.6 testing
- New: Quick add links feature.
If you right click on the statusbar a new window will pop-up.
The new window will show a textbox where you can add text urls and send them to the fonera.
That’s all,
Grab it from here.

Many upgrades to fonera downloader. But the F2N latest release is full of bugs. We would like to hear about a FW upgrade, not this firefox addon.

Take it easy, man.
Linksys have not released a new firmware for their WRT54GL since the year of our lord of 2007, and they do not have a downloader nor anything like it. Put things in context, plz.

To put things in context: I bet the Linksys doesn’t crash when using VOIP… so: why putting so much effort into a downloader when the router cannot even be used for the most basic tasks?

@pablo
the linksys router does not have serious problems like incompatibility with some common devices (ipod touch and iphones), or more common applications like VoIP
I put things in context. Stop with this “add-on” nonsense and fix basic things.
Thank you

I truly agree with torrentman.
It seems this plugin is the only thing being developed.
My Fonera is not stable enough and this should be the core of the work.
Since I use my wireless connection for working purposes, I had to buy another router because FON needs daily reboots just like my old Belkin.
It just becomes non responsive, the wireless signal disappears or spontaneously reboots (even without using any plugin and usb device).
Is anyone having similar problems or am I the only one using it.

The WRT54G was released in 2002…updates till 2007 …that’s 5 years of Firmware support.
The GL version had no problem to get a Tomato/DD-Wrt/Openwrt firmware.
A Fonera needs to be “hacked” ?
The Fonera 2100/2200 never received a “firmware” update since their release in 2006… but basicly rock solid (no sudden reboots), i’m sad they are not offered anymore in the fonshop

@steven: installing dd-wrt on a linksys is pretty much ‘hacking’ it, even if the procedure is dead easy, linksys release their own product firmware which is already old and rusty.
